It's a trip with my mom so...
1) Clubbing is low priority.
2) It's all about shopping.
3) I'm gonna have to go to a museum.
Based on that here is what I'm thinking so far:
Thursday, Nov 26, 2009
- Arrive around 6am
 - Check into hotel and meet up with Mom
 - Watch the Macy's Day Parade
 - Spend the afternoon in Central Park (ice skating, zoo, castle, Strawberry Fields, The Metropolitan Museum of Art)
 - Grab dinner near Times Square
 - See a Broadway Show

Friday, Nov 27, 2009
- Breakfast at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel
 - Spend the day shopping on Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue (Bergdorf Goodman, Bendles, Tiffany's, Bloomingdales, Barney's, FAQ Schwartz)
 - Grab a drink at Grand Central Station Bar during the rush hour for great people watching
 - Dinner
 - Dessert at Serendipity

Saturday, Nov 28, 2009
- Get a morning walk in by climbing to the top of the Empire State Building
 - Head to Soho for breakfast at Balthazar
 - Spend the afternoon shopping in Soho (Spring Street, Thompson, N. Broadway area)
 - Visit Ground Zero (World Trade Center)
 - Dinner at Blue Ribbon Sushi

Sunday, Nov 29, 2009
- Check out of the hotel
 - Spend the morning in Greenwich
 - Eat at the Spotted Pig for lunch
 - Catch my flight home

From here it's just a matter of showing up and seeing how things go! If you have feedback on my itinerary let me know what I'm missing!
Go to 'Top of the Rock' - aka the top of the Rockefeller Center. Best view of NYC.
ReplyDeleteAlso if you are in SoHo there is a great French restaurant - forget the name but it is very famous....could probably find it in any travel book. AND don't forget to go to Magnolia for a cupcake (def not my favorite cupcake but it's where the craze started...SJP in Sex and the City )
Thank you for the suggestions! I will make sure to add them to my itinerary!
